It is an open source framework which runs on a java program in order to process and store extremely large data sets. Hadoop helps in running  thousands of commodity hardware nodes, rapid data transfer facilitated by the well laid out distributed  file system. The most spectacular feature of it is that it continues its operational activities even if there is a node failure , this ensures reduction in chaotic debacles and can prevent loss of essential data. This is why hadoop has now been integrated with big data processing tasks like business and sales training , processing of sensor data including  internet of things.

The hadoop environment is something that majority of the tech giants are opting  for these days ( ebay, linkedin etc) . Therefore , choosing  this can help you enlighten your knowledge base and help you soar togreater heights from the career perspective.
